750 ml bottle. Hazy honey gold color topped by a small creamy beige head. Yeasty sweet honey malt flavor upfront. Fruity notes in midtaste, reminiscent of tangerine and apricot. Some spicy, peppery notes in finish.

750mL bottle, "drunk" 11/21/15.
Huge white head tops a highly carbonated tangerine-colored liquid with a rosy hue to it. Good clarity.
Vanilla, bubble gum and light citrus in the nose. Peppery phenolics don’t really make clear if you’re smelling the hibiscus notes or just yeast-derived aromatics. Cake icing, light earthiness and no alcohol noted.
Whoof. That is sweet. Huge, syrupy, underfermented sugars bludgeon the palate right out of the gate. The hibiscus adds a nutty astringency to the beer making it transition from sweet and estery to astringent and phenolic. Some earthiness, lots of vanilla, light alcohol sharpness and dough linger on, as well as a ton of sugar. Heavily carbonated, so the texture dosent appear syrupy. But it is. Mark my word, it is. Let it sit and warm/breathe for a bit and came back to it. Did not improve. Pretty much everything that’s wrong with American-made "Tripels". Disgusting.

750ml bottle bought from Trader Joes Fairfax a few weeks ago. Poured a clear golden orange color with a fluffy off-white head. Aroma was nice spice, herbal notes, touch of citrus. Touch of hibiscus. Pleasant.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Fruity yeast and summer meadow aromas. Medium bodied with sweet hot caramel and yeast upfront turning to hibiscus in the dry, medium length finish.
