Tremendous IPA. I have no problem putting this on par with Alesmith, Stone, Maine, or Hill Farmstead. Pours a deep cloudy amber into the pint glass, medium off white head that dissipates quickly, nice soapy lacing left on the glass. Big grapefruit, juicy hop cones, tropical fruit, caramel, full oily mouthfeel, ranges from hoppy bitter to caramel smooth/sweet, back to long bitter finish. Really the best Irish IPA out there. Rerate on 24/6/2020 330ml can at home. Pours a slightly hazy orange yellow. Thin off white head. Nose is melon, grass, orange rind, some small bit of pithy grapefruit. Flavour is hop resin, pink grapefruit, some burnt caramel.

Bottle from Garthicus. Thanks a bunch Al. Dry Hopped IPA version. Hazy amber lasting beige head. PNW grapefruit piney hoppy aroma. Yep it’s a good West Coast IPA clone. Pretty good hops. Some bitterness on the finish. Lychee and black pepper on the finish. A little bit of sweetness maybe from some crystal malt. Lovely hops though and I can’t believe this is coming out of Ireland compared with a lot of the beers from Eire. Very sessionable. Ho ho ho.

Bottle at mum and dads house, from Callans Dundalk, @5.8% 18/01/14. Hazed golden amber with a good sized off white head that thins a little then retains. Nose is earthy hops, mandarin, bitter orange marmalade, candied sugars, caramel malt. Taste comprises orange pith, light mango pulp, red grapefruit, straw, earthy hops, malty undertones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy hop bitterness in the finale. Decent enough IPA - easy drinker, decent balance, not massively hopped but hops certainly well evident.

Tasting great here, lots of stingy citrus zest, orange zest, hop resins, really fresh. Had 2 pints of the stuff. Seems to have really improved. One of the best IPAs brewed in Ireland. Up to 3.9

Amber, light haze, bubbly white head, good lacing
Aroma - Zesty citrus, slight resinous hops, some orange, sweet resins
Taste of zesty hops, bitter orange, bitter grapefruit zest, sharp biting zest, sweet fruity malt background
Palate - Medium carb and body, big bitter zest palate. Finish - sharp zesty bitter, very bitter linger almost to my limit but the sweetness underneath just keeps it from getting too much
Overall - Decent IPA, plenty of hops in this

Draught. Clear gold with a medium head. Light bready aroma. Flavour is bread, a little caramel. Not bad just seems like someone forgot the hops.

Sample at Oslo in Galway. Hazy dark golden color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops and malt. Light body with flavors of toasted malt and mildly bitter hops. The finish is lightly bitter with a short herbal hops aftertaste. Barely average overall.
