Bottle from Beers@Moviefun. Cloudy black, stable, foamy, beige head. Strong aroma of vanilla custard, crême brûlée, chestnut, biscuit, milk chocolate, orange zest, candied plum & apricot. Taste has very sweet plum, apricot & date in a creamy, chocolatey malt profile with vanilla notes, some refreshing lemon zest. Herbal hoppy finish with bittersweet dried orange peel effect, mocha & vanilla, decently hidden liqueur-like alcohol. Full body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Just a tad too sweet, but the odd combination of lemon zest does freshen things up.

Bottle. Pours black with a deep chestnut brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges and a bit of visible sediment. Flavor has dark grains and lemon with a bit of roast and some vanilla coming through. Flavor has strong roasted malts and vanilla with a lemon bite and a dark grain backbone.

BD 28012021. Black, pillowy brown head. Smell is lactose first, some lemon. Soft, bit thin, some sharp carbonation. Taste is weird, big bag of lactose first, then some tart yet very sweet lemon extract. Some light bitter in the finish. Reminds of cleaner. Opened up to be more weird and less tasty: pretty boozy, lemon and lactose clash massively, weird tartness.. Not for me, this one.

Almost clear but very dark brown beer, small tan head. The nose immediately says this ain't yer average Impy. Bright lemon immediately obvious. A smooth and slightly soft palate, modest fine carbonation. The smooth dark malts have a modicum of chocolate. But the dominant flavour is light bright lemon, touch of sherbet. The cheesecake comes through well albeit a milky cheesecake. Candy lemon on the back end. Smooth finish. Fuck me this is a subversive affair. And I can't help but like it. 8.0

Nothing to add to this review but an adjustment on score because this is both special and different!

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours black, with very fine brown foam. Aroma is very particular and intense, of vanilla and chocolate/liquor sweets. Some vanilla too. Body is dense, with average carbonation, and quite sticky. Taste is markedly sweet, with a long final. A liquid dessert!
