355ml bottle, shared with TheCellarer. Pitch black body, no head, but tanned ring around the edge. Nose: Roasted coffee, anise, raspberry, vanilla, caramelised fruit and rye bread. Taste: sweet liquorice, raspberry, rye, plum and dates. Smooth and very pleasant palate. Very drinkable, but maybe a bit too sweet? However, my expectations and rating might be influenced by the taste I got of Fullers Underground mountain yesterday, so I really looked forward to trying this one today.

Bottle Pours dark brown with beige head. Spicy on nose. Tastes sweetish, bit spicy, damn I know this flavor but cannot really recall right now. Very good anyway.

Bottle, at Patrick's. It's close to black in the glass, with a small dark beige head leaving lacing. The aroma is roasted and lightly boozy, with dark chocolate, hints of licorice and coffee, a touch of vanilla and some brown sugar. It's full bodied, warming and smooth on the palate, softly carbonated, with a good bitterness. Mostly bitterness from the malts it feels, but there's some piney hop flavors too. Roasted malts, coffee, bourbon notes, a woody hint and some vanilla. Dark chocolate, brown sugar and licorice. Lasting finish with a pleasant boozyness. A complex and tasteful one indeed. 221015

29/IX/22 - 12Fl. Oz. bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte), shared @ home, BB: n/a, bottled: II/2/21, 2047 62 (2022-1338)
Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, a bit irregular, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: nice, lots and lots of chocolate, caramel, vanilla, alcohol, whisky, gentle roast, mocha, more dark caramel, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: nice, lots and lots of chocolate sweetness compensated by a good bitter roast, alcohol noticeable, caramel, more roast. Aftertaste: sweet, vanilla, dark chocolate, bitter touch, some caramel, nice one!

355ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. The oily pour reveals a jet black body, low fawn-coloured head and spotty lacing. Roasted dark bread and nutshell on the nose, mid-sweet. Quite powerful taste of syrup, black chocolate, nuts and vanilla sweetness. Roasted ending, smooth and long-lived. Likeable sipper on a Friday eve. (Tromsø 15.07.2022).

Bottle. Close to black body under a fine, lacing brown head. Aroma has mild roasted dark malt, dark chocolate, wood, hint of vanilla and smooth Bourbon. Taste is sweet, dark, soft roasted malt, dark chocolate, wood, Bourbon, hint of vanilla, dry fruit and bitter coffee. Fine body and rather long lasting, sweet and alcoholic aftertaste. Nice and tasty, but it still feels a bit raw.

Drukket i solveggen på Lillehøgda. Svart. Høyt mokkafarget lysebrunt skum som daler sakte og etterlater litt lacing. Vaniljearoma. Smaken hasselnøtter & vanilje. Hint av røstet malt & bourbon i avslutninga.
