A full-bodied, brown ale with a rich chocolate taste created from roasted chocolate and caramel malts. Topped with Czech Saaz hops to give it a spicy flavor and aroma.

Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to nonic glass.
Appearance: dark brown color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: lots of roasted nuts, dark bread, earthy tones, deep caramel/toffee malts, some chocolate notes, light minerality, and some dark fruits
Flavor: malty, toasty and roasty through the prior noted aromas; finishes malty, nutty and dark fruity
Texture: medium bodied, leaning to being a sipper; some smoothness but also a light grainy/earthy grip
Overall: nice enough imperial brown ale but now that all my Lost Coast is into Brewver, I look at this brewery and wonder how much longer they're gonna be brewing.

Creamy cream coloured head stayed on a rich mahogany coloured still body. Heavy brown sugar, dark berries, jam, Christmas cake, candied fruit & malt aroma. Full bodied, slightly tingly on the front with clean fresh feel followed by sticky cloying back. Orange Spiced fruit, spices, boozy, Cointreau, demerara & Christmas cake tastes with a tangy finish.

12oz bottle into a Corsendonk glass on 20th May 2016 while on holiday in California. Dirty, murky brown body, scummy off-white wisp and collar, no lacing. Chocolate front in the nose and taste, mild spice hints in both the aroma and flavours too. Better than it looked.

35 cl bottle. Very dark ruby-brown pour with a thin beige head. Smells like dried fruit, sugar and metal. Tastes like caramel, dried fruit, milk chocolate. Soft mouthfeel with a low carbonation.
