Hartaasti nautittava, vahvasti humaloitu ja roteva IPA sopii vaativaan makusteluun. Karamellin maku saa makunystyrät takuulla hereille. Tämän on syytä jäädä mieleen.

(Draught at Black Door, Helsinki, 25 May 2015) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with citrus, caramel and orange peel. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, orange peel, treacle-toffee, grapefruit and a generous citric bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made IPA. Nice one.

A coppery colour with orange notes, slightly murky, a head is very weak and blond. Aroma is enjoyable, tropical and sweet fruits, sweet papaiyas, some strawberries. Exotic fruitsallad. Taste has papaiyas and tropical fruits, some grapefruits, more bitterness would be nice and it feels just in the end. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Aromatic and tropical. Very good beer.

From tap at Pikkulintu. Keg was almost finished so the bar guy was not sure how much there is left for me. There was enough and it poured beautiful orange amber with a small but steady head leaving some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet, tropical fruits and soft orange marmalade. Hint of bitterness also there but nothing too serious. Taste is also relatively soft for an IPA - sweet base makes the bitterness quite bearable, I am pretty sure that there are more IBU’s than the taste and hop intensity reveals. This one is definitely not a dry IPA, quite fruity one, reminding me 2Late or Amarillo. Wonder if they really used Amarillo hops (check!). Aftertaste is lasting bitter, remaining for minutes and minutes. Nice new Finnish micro, definitely will look forward to their next brews!
