DFA is dead, long live DFA. Demus Favorem Amori - 'We choose to stand for love'. DFA, a surprising blend of flavours marrying mango, Vietnamese mint, lime, and chilli with the high citrus hit of centennial, amarillo, and citra hops. The result is a deliciously intense tryst of bittersweet heat, tropical fruit, and citrus hop character coming together to create a beer of rich, satisfying balance. Life is all about choices. Choose love.

Loads of resin, caramel, pine, lychee, a hint of coriander (now that I read the label I see that i's Vietnamese mint. Ah well), and a little vanilla. The aroma's got it all. That coriander is quite prominent when tasted, along with a heap of pine, a little spearmint and some caramel fudge. It burns a little down the back of the throat, which I thought was the alcohol but turns out to be the chilli but it's a ripper.

Tap at the Boilermaker House, Melbourne. Poured a slightly hazy orange amber with a short-lived white head. The aroma is malt, resin, light toffee apple, citrus fruit hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp, woody, light metallic hop, light smooth fruit palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced and the alcohol is well hidden allowing the fruity characteristics to shine.

Bottle shared at borefts 2017. A almost clear orange golden beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of citrusy bitter hops, orange fruits, pine. Taste of orange fruits, peach, citrus, bitter grassy hops. Nice.

330ml can (now had on tap too). To the nose there’s floral hops, but the taste is something else. There’s big juicy mango flavours and big hoppy bitterness, but the finish is perfectly cooled by the tart lime and fragrant mint. A really special beer.
