DFA is dead, long live DFA. Demus Favorem Amori - 'We choose to stand for love'. DFA, a surprising blend of flavours marrying mango, Vietnamese mint, lime, and chilli with the high citrus hit of centennial, amarillo, and citra hops. The result is a deliciously intense tryst of bittersweet heat, tropical fruit, and citrus hop character coming together to create a beer of rich, satisfying balance. Life is all about choices. Choose love.

Medium offwhite head. Hazy amber body. Grassy resiny tropical fruit aroma with pineapple notes. Dryish resiny pineapple taste with grassy notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish, hot mouthfeel. Dryish resiny peppery aftertaste with pineapple notes. Spicy wooden finish. It’s a bit too sharp and pineappley for me. (0.65l bottle, from wine monopoly Oslo City.)

Bottle. It’s a unclear dark orange-golden body under a finger-thick off-white head leaving some curtains. The aroma is quite malty, with a little caramel. Resins, pine cones, green chili and some grass too. After reading the label I realize I should have recognized the scent of mint. It’s lightly warming on the palate, full-bodied, and with a nice carbonation level. Semi-sweet. A nice touch of green chilies, a solid dose of pine cones and resins, with a good bitterness. A nice maltyness too, with some toffee. Lasting finish with bitterness, some chili warmth and a decent malty touch. Love the chili in this one, and it’s sure nice anyway. Will definitely buy more bottles of it. 140730

Flaske 650ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Mørk aprikosfarget med et lavt luftig skum. Uklar. God fruktig aroma. Fersken. Smaken er en anelse mandler og blir umiddelbart kjempesyrlig. Bikker over. Her blir det bare kaos smaksmessig,.
