A 3.6% amber coloured, easy drinking session bitter with a balanced Mosaic hop finish. Oaks is named after a centuries-old copse of oak trees that stands proud at the centre of the West Barsham Estate.

Cask at the Ticket Office Cambridge, 19/07/22. Light golden amber with a good sized lasting just off white head. Nose is pale malts, lemon tinged straw, crackers, grains. Taste comprises fruit cake, dates, biscuit, stewed fruits, malty. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. Tidy enough bitter.

Cask at the Old Ticket Office, Cambridge on 21st March 2022. Amber with off-white foam and full lacing. Malty aroma with leafy hoppiness. Rich, nutty maltiness in-mouth and a velvety finish of luxury malt and tangy fruits. Smooth mouthfeel and plenty of body.

Cask, half pint, shared with Finn at St. Andrews Brewhouse. Off-white head to a clear copper coloured body, upper part lacing. Smell of grainy fruits, mid-dry. Moments of buttery caramel to the taste buds joined by a bite of biscuit. Bittersweet malt-fruity finish. Fair enough. (Norwich 11.11.2021).

Delt med Rune. Gyldenbrun. Filmskum. Lett sitrusaroma. Smaken karamell. Søtlig tørr bitter avslutning.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Appearance - amber with a big off white head. Nose - malty/meaty/mushroomy. Earthy too. Light ginger biscuit thing. Taste - ginger biscuit. Still earthy. Palate - medium bodied. Creamy but crunchy texture. Dry finish. Overall - ok, if a bit challenging. Nose a bit weird.

500ml bottle: BBE Jan 2021. Drank at home during the virus Lock In, 8th May 2020. Clean amber body, steady white head. Nose gives hints of maltiness and a citrus twist, taste is malty molasses with a slight citrus trace towards the finish.

Cask halfpint, as Barsham Oaks Amber Bitter, at The Waterman, Cambridge. ABV 3.6%. Copper colour, off-white head. Malty aroma and flavour with hints of toffee and caramel, some tingling fruity hops on the tongue.

24/10/2018. Cask at the 41st Norwich Beer Festival. Pours golden with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of caramel, butter, hops, fruit and sweet malt. Medium to heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, very oily texture, soft to flat carbonation.
