Cask at the New Inn, Littlehampton. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is malt and yeast. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a light, slightly watery, malt, earthy, herbal, yeasty, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Pours a lightly hazed amber colour with a small frothy off-white head that settled. The aroma is malty, caramel with some light fruit and spicy hop notes. A moderately sweet malty taste, cereal grain, malt and caramel flavours with some fruit and a medium-light bitterness.

Very surprised this isn't rated. Nose is yeasty, malty, hint of bread between sugar and fruit. Taste is yeast, make loaf, fruit, bread, malt.

Have drunk this on occasion before, but not rated it. Cask at Posada, Wolverhampton. Pours a dark amber with a small foamy white head and good lacing. Exudes a slightly sweet malty aroma. In the mouth it is quite sweet with flavour of malt load and dark fruits with underlying hints of caramel and vanilla. Finish is fairly sweet too. A nice solid traditional bitter – of the kind that is becoming all too rare.
