Brown 500ml bottle, best before Feb 09, drank May 08. Poured into a pint sleeve glass it was a clear, bright pale golden colour with a good white head that stayed for the whole drink. The aroma was of hops (the label claimed it was thrice hopped), floral with a citrus fruits tang. The taste was fairly hoppy, not by US standards, but heavy for the UK. Dry and a little bitter overal. The dryness gave way to a metallic feel in the mouth and aftertaste, this didn’t help the tasting at all. Bit to harsh for me, the and hops and bitterness didn’t seem to blend together enough and the aforementioned metallic aftertaste seemed to highlight that fact. I can understand a hop fan going for it, but not me again.

Bottle, 4.4%. Clear deep golden with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hops and a little caramel. Flavour is malt, fruit, hops, medium bitter, little caramel, little sweet, cereal and a little grainy.

Clear bottle, blah ... Clear amber-golden color, small steady white head, lace. Citrus-fruity aroma. Light to medium bodied. Citrusy, almost grapefruity crispyness, then typical English nutty-caramel notes. Finish is just too empty, with higher gravity would have more power.

bottle from Tesco Exmouth. Clear golden colour, mid-sized white head. Lovely hop aroma. Solid, fruity malt base, lots of hops adding grapefruit, peach and a lot of pleasant bitterness.

Bottle in London with Chris. Pours clear, copper with a foamy, white head. Crispy malts on the nose, toast and caramel. Flavor is sweet with some modest cereal, some faint herbal hops and grass. Light bodied with strong carbonation. Slightly dry finish, some nice balance, toasty malts and some caramel sugar. Very easy drinking beer with enough character to keep it interesting.

Bottle from Waitrose in London. Pours gold with a creamy light head. Skunkiness escaped from the bottle upon opening. Tends to escape quickly upon pouring. Not all of it though. Other than that it tastes quite floral and is lightly malty. Nicely bitter. Goes very fruity next. It’s lovely barring the skunk.
