Bottle shared in Hackney - cheers to Scopey. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose has some floral notes, lemon peel. Light sweet flavour with some grains, orange, cooling menthol, husky grains. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly bitter finish, some citrus peel, more flowery notes. Not bad.

Bodney Bier Huis bottleshare. Thanks to Paul. Light haze on this amber - gold beer, thin cream colour head. Palate is light, fairly dry, good fine carbonation. Smooth sweetish malts. An unusual perfumey smoke, quite light on the smoke. Little light fruits. Light dry finish. Unusual and interesting.

Beer52 freebie. Sweet and spicy aroma. A hint of smoke. Medium chestnut. Massive thick off-white head. Surprisingly Sweet, mixed in some.bitterness and it ends up sweet and sour. The smokiness is low key at best. Develops a ginger taste. Medium-thick bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Relatively abrupt finish. Feminds me of a spiced ESB that an average real ale brewery would produce for Christmas. A disappointment.

Bottle. Nose is marzipan, pear drops, no smoke or rye that I could detect - odd. Taste is lightly smokey, pear drops, malt, bubblegum, spice, rye. Mouthfeel is slick. Very disjointed beer, lots of flavours but produced a cacophony of tastes..

33cl bottle from Beer52. A dark amber pour with a billowing cream head; yeasty aroma; sweet and fruity int he mouth with lots of pear and melon flavours; then a drier finish with some spice from the grains and the mearist hint of smoke. Strange.
