Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a crystal clear dark chesnut brown with a frothy off-white head. The aroma is weak malty and a little woody. The flavour is medium bitter with a malty, liqourice, slightly metallic, watery palate. The bitterness lingers for a while in the finish but doesn’t inspire me.

Cask, handpump at The Jericho Tavern, whilst watching Merchandise, play. Thursday 5th September 2013 but not stopping in camper on this occasion More amber than gold with a white head. Quite easy and steady going on the bitterness, more caramel than citrus noted. It’s a bit fruity, its ok, but I switched to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and then Brooklyn Lager afterwards. Golden beer, tropical fruit and medicinal aroma & slightly sour plummy taste. Very bitter on the palette. Nice enough but not my favourite.
