Contract brewed at Brouwerj Anders! in 2018 for Beer52 as part of Beer52's 4th Anniversary Collaboration Voyage Series in collaboration with Partizan Brewing. Inspired by the woods on the Isle of Eriska.

"A big hop hit was all that was missing from this portfolio and it seemed fitting to do it an a grandiose celebratory manner! Inspired by the wonderful fruit served at breakfast and in desserts, a bouquet of berry fruit and citrus exploding on the palate, this double IPA is chock full of New World hops with a gentle bitterness and fulsome mouthfeel to compliment the resinous hoppy aromatics."

Freebie from Beer52. Citrus, grains and resin in the aroma. An opaque dark amber. Thick off-white head. Initially bitter but fruity bitterness. Gains more bitterness into the finish with less less fruit and more wood (I don't know what this means either). Light-medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Dry slightly astringent finish. Decent DIPA. Not obviously boozy.

Bottle split at L42, thanks to Scopey, 13/02/18. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is mango, pine needle, sprucey notes, floral wave, citric peel, grains. Taste comprises orange pith, fresh grass, grapefruit, melon, light floral notes, toasted bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced hop bitterness. Decent enough clean and easy drinking DIPA.

Bottle. Nose is pine, light tropical, pineapple, mango. Taste is lightly bitter, pine, lime, grapefruit tropical, lots of ginger, marmalade. Short gingery finish with peppery vodka alcohol notes. Is very underpowered flavour wise for a DIPA with no way near enough hops. Underwhelming like the other Beer52 beers I have had.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Scopey. Pours lightly hazy orange-gold with a frothy, white head. Mild floral notes in the nose, citrus peel, dried pale malts. Light sweet flavour with decent pale bread base, pithy citrus, a little flinty minerality, orange peel. Meidum bodied with fine to average carbonation. Litly warming in the finish, somewhat resinous, a hit of melon, more orange, mellow bitterness. Not bad.
