Golden Pride is a premium, superior-strength bottled ale.
Brewed to 8.5% ABV, it is equivalent in strength to Belgian Abbey beer or barley wine, and is designed to be consumed in smaller measures than the traditional pint.
Golden Pride is known for its rich malty flavours, good balance, and notes of orange oil, toasted grain and spicy fruitcake. The late Michael Jackson, beer writer and connoisseur, labelled it 'the Cognac of beers'.

50cl bottle, a few months old that friends gave me, pours a clear, garnet amber with some creamy white head. Nose has treacle, booze, honey, malt. Very malty. Lots of grain. Feels a bit like an under nuanced test beer for the vintage ales. Flavor is chewy malts, some bubblegum, some treacle, sticky toffee pudding. Boozy finish, full bodied. 6 4 6 3 12

(bottle 0,5l from pivoteka.cz online shop) Overall: Nice sweet strong ale. Aroma: Sweet, dried fruits, prune, Appearance: Clear dark amber-red. Minimal off-white head. Taste: Medium sweet, fruity, prune, malty, medium bitter. Palate: Medium-full body. Sticky texture. Bitter, warm finish.

Bottle. Pours amber golden brown. Flavor whisky slightly fusel, though clear and light. Taste solid malty, sparkly. Aaand there is the aftertaste, mirroring the flavor - right when I assumed flavor and taste were disconnected.

Bottle from Waitrose. Pours clear amber with a cream cap. Aroma: malty, caramel, toffee apple, dark fruits. Taste: moderate sweet & light to moderate bitter, fruity esters, light vinous, malty, caramel, toffee, sugary. Medium body with light-ish carbonation. Probably better on keg or cask tbh
