Bottle. A clear, deep amber beer with a dense, off-white head leaving lacings. A malt-dominated aroma with raisins, toffee and bready notes. Some notes of hops as well. The flavor has some maltyness, but itโ€™s rather dry. Dried fruits and bread in the flavor. Some fruity hops and a faint bitterness too. A rather boring one, the aroma being the best part. 100814

Cask at The Six Bells, Thame, Oxon, 16.12.10 Pours red amber with fast departing white head. Fruity with a berry tanginess, medium bitterness, quite robust for the strength. Itโ€™s been a long time since Iโ€™ve had this on handpump (Marsh Harrier, Cowley back in the late nineties probably) Likeable beer and served in very good nick. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.6

Amber with a small white head. Aroma of malt ith typical Fullers marmalade notes. Dry and malty flavour, typical Fullers, though probably a little sweeter than Pride.

Bottle: Clear, copper coloured, small & persistent off-white foam, leaving a little lace; malty nose with a distinctive "english" hoppy aroma and a subtle sweetish fruitiness; mild sweet-bitter flavour, soft, medium bodied; the announced blackberries show up in the moderate sweet-bitter finish, followed by a light hoppy aftertaste. Nothing to complain, but really not the best Fullers brew......

Bland, faint aroma with a bit of piny hops. Not much there. Rich malt flavor with caramel and berries. Tasty but quite sweet. hops are ok, though. bland but drinkable.
