Bottle. Pours a clear amber brown colour with a tight white head, plenty of malt in the aroma, the taste is medium bitterness with a dry bitter finish.

Old rating from Nov 2014 - 500ml bottle, pours brown with a white creamy head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, fruit, uts, raisins, toffee & sweet malt. Medium body. Moderate bitter finish

0.5 l bottle @ home. Pours mahogany with beige head. Nose is spicey and malty, taste is quite similar with some surprisingly apparent bitter hops in the finish. Light to medium body, average carbo. Not bad, but nothing extraordinary either.

500 ml bottle from the lcbo.
Dark mahogany pour, big off white head. Dark sherry, bready malts, and quite a bit of spice. Perfect mouthfeel and carb. Good spicy bite, the finish is dry, and crisp, medium bitterness.

Bottiglia. Un arco olfattivo dominato dal sottobosco. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Il colore è ambrato carico tendente marrone. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è di media potenza. La forza gustativa è elevata e la durata è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Al gusto vengono donati toni di caramello, miele, frutta secca, agrumi, erbe aromatiche e mandorla fresca.

Pint at the Kings Cross station bar while waiting for delayed train. I'd just been through a tough interview for a CEO role with the investors so this was deserved. Perfect pour with a really rich and inviting colour in three glass. It was perfectly kept so the flavour was great, with rich malts and some balanced hops. This was lovely for a freezing day in London.

Amber with off white head - Malt aroma with some caramel - Malt body with some caramel flavours and nice hop bitterness - Malt and hop bitterness goes into the finish - This was nice
