Cask-conditioned at GBBF 2006. Pure, deep amber colour, very fruity aroma of apricot, grapes, apple, flowery hops; soft sweetish fruity taste with a mildly hoppy, aromatic but perhaps insufficiently bitter finish.

Cask@Wenlock Arms, London (backlog). Slightly hazy amber colour with a mediumsized longlasting foamy head which leaves rich lace. Aroma is spruce, fruits, berries and some mild bready malts as well. Flavour is fruity, floral, caramelly and some toffee as well. Crisp maltyness makes it feel a bit more fresh.

500ml bottle picked up at Centra, Oslo. Dark amber body under a slightly off-white head, mostly lasting with lots of small bubbles and great lacing on the glass. Moderate and rounded aroma of floral hops. Light caramel and fruits in flavour offset by a touch of bitter malts towards the end. A bit watered palate (14.06.2007).

Cask at the Devonshire Arms, South Normanton. Sparkling gold colour with a soapy white head; initially caramel and malt dominate with some traces of fruit, but then a full bodied bitterness develops. An excellent pint of bitter.

500 ml bottle from Morrisons. Pours a clear gold colour with an off-white head; sour, fruity aroma; chewy, full, malt flavour; with a gently bitter finish with a touch of biscuit. Nothing special, but a well-constructed English bitter.
