A beautiful looking beer - dark brown in colour with deep garnet highlights and a crema-like foam. Gunmetal is clean and crisp from a long and slow ferment at 9 degrees with our house lager yeast. Aromas of herbal & earthy Noble hops jostle for position with the delicate aromas of lightly roasty, toasty and smooth biscuit malt. Deliciously on the palate - there is none of the burnt malt astringency normally associated with beers of this colour.

Proper fizzy pour, looks like coke with a frothy beige head and has a mild roasted coffee aroma. Taste has a good mix of roasted malt offering coffee, dark fruit and perhaps some chocolate, with some hop bitterness going on

[33cl can from Sainsbury’s, Bracknell.] A glossy deep cola brown pour with a ring of beige head; breast aroma; a trace of licorice and aniseed in the mouth with a sweet body and a fruity bitterness; then a breast finish. Very drinkable.

Very dark brown beer, really clear. Light malty aroma. Taste is malty too, a little hop, just a touch of sweetness. Quite a basic flavour but clean and tasty and nicely balanced.
