A deep, dark brown beer with a big hop note incorporating Maris Otter, Munich, Chrystal & Chocolate malts to give hints of roast coffee and chocolate.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - olive to plum and has a sheen. Generous buttery head. Nose - after a few swirls the chocolate comes though. A red fruit is lurking. Taste - coffee and dark chocolate. Caramel and light biscuit. A light smoky molasses edge adds to it. Palate - close to medium bodied with a smoky dry finish. Overall - solid enough.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours black olive with a buttery head. Aromas of chocolate and dried herbs, coffee beans. Taste is coffee, light red fruit, caramel wafer. Bit thin though.
