A Scottish sour ale fermented with brambles and basil, aged in gin barrels.

Elevate the senses and gain a new outlook with this, our latest spirit-barrel release. Heightened aromas from a bouquet of gin botanicals are cooled by herbal notes from earth basil. Juicy, jam-like bramble character gives way to a piquant tartness in this Scottish sour ale. Tart to the finish, perfectly balanced for the safest of touchdowns.

Gyronaut - Fly right.

Keg at BD Aberdeen. It pour cloudy purple with a small pink - white head. The aroma is bright, juicy, tangy, sour blackberry, green, herbal, citrus peel, peppery juniper, definite oaky gin vibes, jammy berry, earth and wood. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, puckering, zingy, touch of acidity, loads of bramble, aka blackberry, sour candy, oak, peppery spice, juniper berries, herbal, touch of citrus, tannin, granny smith apple and oak with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, carbonation. Thankfully the acidity has been kept in check. In the aroma the gin is obvious, but the taste is more subtle. All comes together very well.
