[33cl can at a B&B in Waitomo.] A troublesome straw coloured pour with a billowing white head; herbal aroma with a touch of citrus; astringent chemical taste. Not at all pleasant.

Bottle shared in our van. Clear golden with white head. Bready, light caramel, tea, dry grassy hops, light bitter vegetal leaves, dried apricot, dry grainy notes. Just medium sweet and over medium bitter. Medium bodied.

0.33 l bottle. Hazy dark golden, moderate frothy off-white head. Very lightly hoppy, bad shape. Some citrus notes. Cardboard notes. Old. Very watery and neutral. Sharp. Light body. Light finish.

Bottle. Amber with a puffy white head. Aroma is very English with marmalade-like grapefruit, bread, boiled sweets. Smells like a somewhat flabby bitter from the golden end. But there's considerably punchier citrus in the taste and it's dryish and quite firmly bitter at the end.

Bottle from the Antarabangsa Enterprise, Penang. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, woody resin hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a crisp woody metallic, light citrus, light caramel toffee, woody resin hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

330ml bottle on Christchurch tram restaurant. Hazy amber beer with thin head. Deep malt nose. Easy-drinking, slight fizz. Earthy bitter finish with touches of stonefruit. Chalky mouthfeel. Nice quaffer.

33cl bottle from Vino. Appearance - cloudy orange with a slim head which disappears fairly quickly. Nose - honey and cereal, just a touch of citrus. Taste - more of the same but not quite as refreshing as the nose suggests. Some soapiness on top of the honey and malt. Palate - light to medium bodied with a similar texture and a clean finish. Overall - a solid and very sessionable IPA.

Bottle from Vino Wines. Hazy golden body with a thin white head that slowly fades. Light carbonation. Few lacing marks. Aroma of grass and grain. Flavour is light, lemony and grassy - it’s more like a slightly hoppy Lager than an IPA. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft carbonation. Bland and boring, but not quite as bad as the previous reviews make out.

Clear, slightly hazy orange coloured body with a bit of a bronze glow and a thin, half a centimetre tall white head. Aroma of grass, medicine and a hint of stale malt - no hops at all, and a very mild scent for sure. Light-bodied; Grassy and herbal flavours up front with a strong dose of perfumey hops and a little stale malt and alcohol flavours noticeable. Aftertaste shows only stale malt, odd funky notes and no complexity and more importantly - no hops. Overall, a pretty bad offering and nowhere close to an IPA, APA or anything with hops in it. Definitely pass up on this, even if it isn’t horribly expensive - it’s not worth a single US$. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 12-April-2013 for US$3.98 sampled at home in Washington on 20-June-2013.

Bottled. A pale amber beer with a huge white head. The aroma has notes of flowers, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, flowery and spicy hops, leading to a bitter finish.
