Tried at the Three Horseshoes, Waddington. Amber colour with a white head. Aroma that’s bready and light citrus and a touch of berry. Taste is light bittersweet to light bitter. Medium body.

Cask at the Pheasant in Wellington. Pours Amber with a decent white head. Aroma is cereal malts and a little grain. Taste is a little sweetness, a decent malt backbone and a hint of hop bitterness that dries a little. It’s ok. Not sure what single hop is used but it may have been just the one.

Handpull cask from the Architect, Cambridge. Copper/amber with a hint of orange. Almost no head but a fair bit of lacing. Light citrus aroma with notes of brown sugar. Bitter taste but not too sharp, with quite a lot of malt in the mouth. Very bitter aftertaste but not a hint of imbalance. Long finish with grapefruit in the aftertaste. Simple, but credit where credit is due: this is very nicely put together.
