Bottle in New Zealand. Golden beer with a very dry and slightly malty aroma. The flavour is mildy malty with a bitter finish, quite vinous as well. Overall a plain premium lager.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, golden with a dense, white head leaving some laces. Classic and lovely Steinlager aroma from the hops. Medium body with a very soft mouthfeel. Sweet notes of malt, brewing cereal and then....nothing. Absolutely nothing. Lion has managed to hide the hops completely leaving not a grain of bitterness. A classic and very drinkable Pale Lager. A NZ micro brewer told me that "Pure" was born because Lion simply couldn’t copy the real Steinlager in their new plant, so they had to come up with a new name. 050208
