On tap at the hop and barley. Amber colour with an off white head. Caramel and malty aroma and taste, that is also fairly sweet. Medium body.

Handpull cask at the White Swan, Chesterfield. Light brown, translucent. Little whitish head which generates a fair amount of lacing. Harsh, almost smoky malt on the aroma. Taste is shot through with sweet malt leading to a clever bitter finish. A massively aggressive malt bomb, and to be fair an impressive one, but lacking balance and, to be honest, a lot of individual character.
