1st Sep 2019, hand-pulled half-pint in the lovely 'Wm Hawkes', Hull. So a cask 'Helles', not a common style to see as a 'Real Ale'. Poured a clear and clean gold, white topping. Crisp and refreshing, but like most Helles devoid of any strong aromas or tastes.

Keg tap at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Straw-coloured, hazy with a spotty white head. Light flowery aroma with lime and chalk. Taste is a bit odd with a herbal and some flavour. Long chalky finish. There are issues here but it's drinkable overall.

500ml bottle from Arrow Farm Shop, Worksop - Hazy yellow body, fluffy heed. Nose is sweet lemon, a little cereal, a bit of sugar. Taste is nice and robust for a lager-type, lemon syrup, sweet finish. Good and fresh.

Bottle. Dram Shop, Sheffield. Clear, light gold. Constant stream of fine bubbles. Good, dense, lasting, lacing, white head. Nose has lemon puff biscuit. Damp grain. Some grassy hop. Notes of toffee malts. Taste is soft sweet. Light, grassy bitterness. Clean mouthfeel. Easy drinking. The grassy bitterness rises on the finish. Starts off a bit too sweet, for me, but overall, it’s a quaffable, tasty beer.
