Keg at the Three Compasses, Farringdon, London. Deep and slightly hazy gold with a thin white head. A lot of butter. Some sharp lemon. Far too buttery for a pale. Urk.

From cask at Perseverance, Bloomsbury, London, on tour to 22 southern counties with OGJ and EE 08.01.19. Clear dark golden. Fine beige head and lacing. Aroma of pale malt, marmalade, biscuits and yeast. Round, but slightly waterish, mouthfeel. Good quaffability.

Cask at The Burlington Arms. It pours slear amber, thick foamy white head. The aroma is earthy, grassy, sweet, cake malts and biscuit. The taste is bitter - sweet, plenty of cake malts, orange peel, earthy, spicy, UK hops, brown bread, chewy malt and tannin with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A fair bitter, but perhaps a touch sweet.

White fluffy head stayed well on a still, copper coloured body. Dark fruit & malt aroma with citrus hints. Medium bodied, soft, tingly & a flat back. Well balanced with malt to the fore but this quickly changes to a bitter, spicy back with woody pine.
