Brewed by Marston's, in collaboration with Shipyard Brewing Co. Initially in 2010, as a special (Revisionist American Pale Ale), then as a regular from May 2013, in an extension of the breweries' 15-year pan-Atlantic collaboration. Shipyard started brewing their own version, following Marston's recipe, in 2014.
Dry hopped with real American hop varieties that deliver a refreshing, easy drinking true American pale ale. Take a moment to enjoy!
Shipyard American Pale Ale is a versatile beer style that actually makes a perfect partner to most meals. Citrus flavours work perfectly to complement rich grilled or BBQ meats, spiced foods, fajitas or chilli’s and also some bold cheeses too. The fruity character also means that our American Pale Ale is equally at home paring with more delicate flavour seafoods like lobster or crab. Brewed and packaged in the UK.

Very slightly hazy gold with a bubbly white head and a soft citrus hop aroma. Cold and fizzy, some soft cereal malt, citrus hops and a dry bitter finish.

Lattina.

0.50l bottle from Centro Discount Muggia. Aroma is grassy, floral and malty. Pours clear amber color with thick creamy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts light to medium sweet grainy, hoppy and grassy with toffee and floral following, mild soapy note, smooth mouthfeel, while finish is pretty bitter and dry. Light to medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Friendly hoppy alliance…

Keg pint on 6th September 2024, in the Telford Town Centre Wetherspoons. This is a beer I thought I'd tried before but on checking discovered I had not (hope I didn't rate the wrong beer a few years back, again I will have to check, I have checked and I didn't). Clean and clear golden body, white crust. A little 'fizzy' with a slight citrus leaning before some piney notes appear. Not unpleasant, my fourth rate of the day.
