A terrific golden summer session beer brewed exclusively with American hops to give a slight citrus character and a rich hop aroma. A relatively low ABV make this a true golden session ale to enjoy whatever the weather.

Cask. Pours very hazedn warm blonde. Small white head. Scent is summery, citrus fruits, quite full. Creamy but malty. Taste is soft, gentle , some citrus. Touch cheesy, sharp maltyness. Not as crsip as I had hoped. Some age perhaps ? Bit green. Earthy.

2 pints of keg in the Gidea Park Tap. Just a light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head Palate is smooth and naturally quite light, decent fine carbonation coming through on the back end. Light smooth malts, sweet enough. A pleasing broad array of hop fruits here, none particularly strident but a good gamut of citrus and tropical fruits and a good balance of them. All in a back drop of soft pine and with a whisper of skunk. Nice job. Doesn't drink like a Session IPA, more satisfying than that.

Can from Cooperative Supermarket, Ashurst. Golden with a head. There's a decent fruitiness to the brew but its low alcohol does make it feel weak - perhaps a little less stated than it could or should be. Its piney notes are to the fore in its aroma.

On tap at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Hazy orange pour with a white head. Bitter citrus and gooseberry aromas. Bitter citrus taste. Long bitter finish. I think this'll work a lot better on cask, certainly has that feel 🤔

23/12/2020. Can from the Dark Revolution online shop. Pours cloudy pale orange gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of pomelo, orange, citrus, grass, slight herbal edge. Heavy bitter and light sweet. Moderate body, oily texture, average carbonation. Starts well, nice aroma, but the bitter does become a bit much.
