Sprong is a blend of wild ales, aged in oak puncheons (500L) for around 2.5 years, and a barrel fermented and aged saison type of beer. This saison was fermented in a large oak vessel and later transferred to oak barriques (225L) for another 6 months. Prior to blending the two parts together, the saison was slightly dryhopped for another 3 months. We've added a touch of Sicilian sage to the final blend to macerate a few days before bottling.

Bottle, at share, thanks to Ryan. Pours amber orange. Funk, lemon, herbal, mint, fragrant, absinthe. Medium body, nice spritz. Very good.

Bottle pour at MBCC 2023, pours a hazy peachy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out blossom notes, bitterness, and oak. Flavour is bitter and oaky, with lots of bitterness, blossom, spiciness and wild bugs. A bit too spicy but the blend is nice. Very good.

Bottle at MBCC 2023, Yellow session. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is yeast and herbs. The flavour is moderate sour, with a fresh, crisp, light funky, big herbal palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. The herb’s dominated but no complaints from me.

Bottle shared at Delaware Supply. Hazy toi cloudy golden color, white head. Nice aroma of subtle spice and less subtle funk. Taste is dusty lightly peppery with light tannins and moderate funk. Very tasty.
