12oz bottle pours a watery coffee color with some thin khaki head. Nose is interesting, chocolate covered espresso bean, brown bread, caramel, cakey, some cola. Flavor is similar, raw cocoa, milk chocolate, sweetened coffee, some dried berry, molasses. Finished mostly dry. Well done, the barrel is very nuanced and complimentary.

Bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk dregs run. Appearance - shiny chestnut brown. Nose - wood and sweet whisky. Taste - yeah more of the same. Toffee probably. A hint of chocolate but you have to send out a search party. Palate - medium bodied. Then it’s reply just dominated by whisky barrel. Overall - not sure what the style is underneath hit you can definitely get the whisky barrel. And that renders it om dimensonal I’m afraid.

Bottle from Mesjasz. Many thanks! Black colour, no foam. Almost no carbonation. Sweet nose of bourbon, vanilla, some smoke. Bitter roasty, hoppy. Sweet caramel taste. Rather thin. I like stouts more syrupy.

On tap @EurHop 2016 (Rome). Pours deep brown/black with a medium beige head. Aroma of green coffee, light licorice, subtle oak touch, very poor bourbon notes. Flavour is light sweet with strong coffee notes and a medium bitterness. Not as rounded as expected. Full body, medium to light carbonation. It could be refined.

Butelka 330ml (21.04.2016). Piwo praktycznie czarne, nieprzejrzyste.
