Inspired by one of our favourite breakfasts: blueberry waffles. this indulgent and full-bodied stout has a sweet, malty body, topped with rich fruit flavours. It's breakfast in a can.

Can shared with Dad, from Tesco, bonfire night, 3rd November 18. Pours a very dark brown, aroma is sweet, caramel. Taste is loads of sweet, chocolate, cararmel, don't get much waffle, no blueberry. It's very sweet, the mouth feel is loose and thin, so so.

Can from Tesco and drunk at home. Very dark brown black beer lasting tan head. I mean it is a sweet stout. Boy is that sweet. Some waffle. Some chocolate, some fruit somewhere which I guess could be blueberry. It's big and full. Some light blueberry sourness on the finish. It's waffley versatile. Pretty good I thought. Just a bit of fun. Not sure I'd want to drink it again. Light dryness on finish. Vanilla sweetness

Can picked up from Tesco and had this at home Sunday 28th October 2018 whilst cooking Shepherds Pie with Ndjua and also some Seafood Lasagne Pours black with a large beige head, a little fruity with a tart tanginess, blueberry shows, soft in the mouth, it’s a nice beer. I don’t pick up the waffle so much but there is something apart from the fruit. Really nice. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Can. Nose is lemonade, earth, cola, blueberry, big chocolate, waffle, ice cream cone, vanilla.Taste is blueberry, cola, sweet malt, hints of milk chocolate, lemonade, vanilla, caramel, hint of treacle, ash, waffle. Very thin body for the style. It's been brewed to a budget £3 is very cheap for the style, but there is a consequence and it feels less than the sum of it's parts.

Can from Tescos, Rickmansworth, Herts. A dark brown coloured pour with a very thin beige head which disappears quickly. Malty, blueberry, vanilla, chocolate aroma. Tastes of blueberry, chocolate, vanilla, slightly sweet/sour/thin. Pleasant and good to see this kind of beer in a supermarket.

Can from Hogs Back Brewery shop. Later spotted at Tesco for quid less, damnit. Sweet creamy lacrose aroma with an acidic element to it. Dark and glossy. Thick foamy beige head. Initially sweet and creamy, before the blueberry sourness hits. Underlying bitter coffee and molasses. Mesium bodied. Creamy. Soft to flat carbonation. Low key slightly astringent finish. Not too shabby. The blueberry is to the fore, with the waffle being less obvious. Would have liked a thicker body.

440ml can from Tesco. Dark brown in colour, with a creamy, off-white, head. Sweet, blueberry and milk chocolate character, vanilla panna cotta, toasty, yet sweet, malts, a hint of vanilla before a warming finish with hint of leafy hop. An excellent beer, and at £3 a bargain.
