Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#78. PONTORSON. Found in a local shop in the small town. Golden-blonde in colour with a hoppy taste, but a more neutral aroma. Not a bad choice for a steady session.

Tap on a plastic cup. Doesn’t seem like a true Bier de Garde to me. The kind of beer that people drink on festivals. Average beer with some malty taste.

Tap at Folks & Blues festival Binic. Bit hazy golden with white head. Flowery, grassy, soft malts and a touch of other grains. Quite hoppy, light apricot too. Under medium sweet and medium bitter. Almost medium bodied. Quite decent actually.

Bottle from somewhere in France. Poured a clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is yeast, light hop. The flavour is light bitter with a floral hop bitter palate. Light bodied with lively carbonation.
