Praline Chocolate Porter. Dark forces are at work in this devilishly good Praline Porter. Chocolate and fruit come a-knocking. Soft roasty character, with notes of dark berries, mellow coffee and a subtle nuttiness. This beer was in the knockout stages of Beatnik 2018 - grab a slice while you can.

Very dark brown with thin head. Aroma and flavour are dominated by mocha. Light bodied bit intense flavour. Cappuccino with sugar.

Svart med tykt lys brunt skum. Lukter trevirke, kakao, mørk sirup og mørk sjokolade. Middels fylde. Smaker lett bitter mørk sjokolade, kakao, nøtter, kaffe, noe søtlig lakris og sirup. Middels lang.

Bottle from Tesco at 5% ABV. Dark brown in colour, with a reddish tinge and frothy, off-white, head. Aroma of plain chocolate, with some caramel sweetness and toasty malts. Flavour had some rich fondant character, oak, a hint of spice and a warming, slightly boozt finish. An enjoyable dark beer.

Keg @ Brewdog Seven Dials, London. Black with a small off-white creamy head. It has smooth and crisp tasting roasted malts with a good aroma in this respect, all with a hint of nut.

Tap at Hair of the Dog, Phrom Phong, Bangkok. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, nutty, aromatic. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, roasty, light smoky, aromatic floral liqouirce bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A solid porter but a little too light for me.

33 cl bottle (5%) @ Armonkallio. BBE 25.04.2020 Sweet aroma with vanilla, cocoa and toasted malt. Feels a bit artifical. Flavour has vanilla, ash, roasted malt and some licorice. Finishes with tobacco. Not oversweet but a bit artifical.
