A wonderful experience with this beer, an amazing union between the Belgian and the American tradition, apricot/hoppy, sweet and malty, 22.11.19, at my rented house, Hoofdroop.

Bottle at home, courtesy of markoijelena. Nose is floral and fruity hops, light honey, booze and faint vineous notes. Taste is sweet upfront, honey appears first then it shows floral hops, citrus zest, marmalade and hints of fruits with an underlying, mellow bitternes that becomes more firm in the finish. It closes with a warming, bittersweet finish, has a huge body and soft carbonation. Big beer, a true sipper. Thanks for sharing, Marko!

Bottle from Stanislaus Brewskovitch, Zwolle. Aroma is fruity hops, juicy tropical fruits, citrus, grapefruit, orange, pale malt, with a touch of pine resin and light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Heavy but not that boozy, dangerously drinkable. Nice rich juicy fruits. An unexpected killer IIPA from Jopen.

Tap at Noord-Hollands bierfestival ’17, Alkmaar: Hazy orange colored brew with sweet and dry bitter taste, hints of mango, grapefruit, caramel and some pine from an American pineforest.

Draft at the Jopenkerk. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a thin broken white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is grainy malt, grassy, resin. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, grassy, light dank, citrus, boozy hop bitter palate. Over medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Bottle, small bubbly head, hazy deep orange colour, grain, honey, alcohol, a bit of orange marmalade and some grapefruit bitterness.Surprisingly drinkable for its traits but not really interesting, this is a useless style.

Label say BBE aug 2024, so is this 6 months or 18 months old? It's been in the fridge for a while, that's for sure. Pours a dark golden body, slightly hazy, and a firm off white head that disappears after a few minutes. Aroma's: old hops, dark malt, raisin, dark/dried fruit. Retronatal it's caramel-ish, floral hops, bitter, dried fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and quite bitter. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Long firm bitter finish.
