Bottle from Beer Republic. Aroma is hoppy and malty with caramel, berries, pine resin, sugary fruits, notes of grapefruit and ripe orange. Big bittersweet flavour. Body is medium to full with a bit of a sticky texture. A welcome change of tune in the haze era, heavily malty with potent bitter resinous hops.

(Bottle) Dark reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of caramel, resin, orange peel, pine needles and pink grapefruit. Malty, hoppy taste with caramel, dried apricots, orange peel, pink grapefruit, burnt sugar, black-currant and a generous resiny/piney bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, quite sweet. Rich and tasty, but the sharpness and sweetness makes it a bit unbalanced. Still, nice one.

Bottled. Deep reddish brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, some pine, resin and mild toffeeish tones. Flavour is zesty, caramel, and some resin and mild toffeeish tones with some alcohol tones. Nice bitterness, but a bit too sweet.

Optisch schönes Rot, passt zum Titel. Im Trunk malzig, leichte Frucht, Trauben, im Abgang dann doch alkoholisch, passt schon.

Bottle at home. Dark red color, medium sized beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, hops, bitter hops, a note of caramel malts in there. Quite nice. I like it. 8-8-8-8-8.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit, resin, bread and flowers. Pours cloudy dark brown color with thick creamy tan-like head, floating yeast particles and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet caramel and toasted malt, following is herbal, piney, dark fruity and slightly medicinal, mouthfeel is smooth and warm, while finish is heavy bitter. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Red fruit without rum drumming on my brains...

33cl bottle. A clear dark amber beer with a off-white head. Aroma of bitter resinous hops, caramel, pine needles. Taste of bitter resinous hops, pine needles, caramel and grapefruits.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a marble with an off white frothy head. Aroma is malty, spicy, fruit, dank hops. Taste is sweet for a DIPA, some earth hops, malty, not very bitter.

16/7/2020. Bottle from Beer Republic’s online store. Pours clear deep rich red amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is dank hops, malt, toffee, fruit, brown bread and resin. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Full body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Old skool, powerful brew. Enjoyed this.
