Inspired by the island life, we created an IPA completely disconnected from the mainland. We used our one-of-a-kind Hop Torpedo to deliver an intense rush of hop flavor and the lush aromas of mango, papaya, and passionfruit with every sip. Enjoy our tropical twist on the American IPA.

(Bottle) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head. Fruity, slightly hoppy nose with mango, orange, apricot marmalade, sponge cake and herbs. Malty, fruity taste with notes of mango, grapefruit, apricot marmalade, papaya, biscuits and a generous citric/herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, rounded mouthfeel, a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made, with a generous hop presence. Nice one.

Bottled 355ml (Prisma Sikupill, I think bottled 12/2021) Yellow colour, slightly cloudy, small white head. Tropical fruity and hoppy aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Hoppy front, some tropical fruityness, grapefruit, pale malts. Balanced.

Herb-hopfiger Beginn, der deutlich schwächer als erwartet daherkommt. Trocken, fast pappig, etwas helles Malz - definitiv nicht sonderlich frisch. 8/7/8/7/11/7

Gold with a frothy, white head. Tropical fruitiness as advertised, somewhat one dimensional though with the nectarines firmly in charge. And there’s a fermenting hint to it all. Taste is moderate bitter the whole way through. Body to the lighter side of medium, a touch watery at the finish. Drinkable but below average for the style.

355ml can Sophie's Beer Store. Misty orange, small white head. Fine, gently tropical mechanised IPA, but massively lacking any character whatsoever.

Orange, floral, and grapefruit peel aroma. Flavor is grapefruit bitterness, very little malt sweetness. Leaves a resinous, bitter aftertaste. Typical contra hopped IPA.

I possess a 12 oz can which says tropical on the label multiple times. Let us see if there is agreement on this end. Purchased from the singles offered at the nearest HEB supermarket, I open the tab and tilt into my Great Heights snifter. The pour is a clearish, straw yellow-light orange liquid followed with a promptly settled ice-white head. A nice scent, field, meadow and blue sky. I have a drink. The ipa dominates while the tropical is way back in the cheap seats. A fair hoppiness, grain, grass and citrus. Is grapefruit tropical? Not bad. Just no push of the envelope.
