22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/21/2017. Pours nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, peanut butter, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, frosting, fudge, brownie batter, brown bread dough/crust, and toasted biscuit; with light notes of molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, peanuts, vanilla, cocoa nibs, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, peanut butter, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, frosting, fudge, brownie batter, brown bread dough/crust, and toasted biscuit; with light notes of molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, peppery, roast bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, peanut butter, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, frosting, fudge, brownie batter, brown bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, peanuts, vanilla, cocoa nibs, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a solid roast/hop bitter/sweet balance, and no cloying sweetness after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly slick/sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.8%. Overall this is an awesome flavored imperial brown ale. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, peanuts, vanilla, cocoa nibs, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV, with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Great soft feel. Perfectly balanced between rich brown ale malt complexity, peanuts, vanilla, and cocoa nibs; with just enough earthy hops to balance sweetness. A really enjoyable offering, and highly impressive imperial style example. Tons of authentic PB flavor, and not overwhelming on any aspect. Not overly roasty for the style, held up really well for the age.

Tasting at Matt's
Dark brown color. The aroma is earthy, dusty. Good body, milk chocolate flavor with a touch of peanuts.
Quite good.

650ml bottle at Matt's. Pours a dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is dark fruits with roasted malt notes. Similar candy-ish taste. Fairly pleasant.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma smells like peanut butter cup, with some nice cocoa notes. Flavour is pretty similar, tasting just like a Reese's peanut butter cup - full of peanut butter and milk chocolate, with moderate sweetness. Fun beer - balanced and candy-like. I like it.

02.05.2014, tap (as Don’t tell Reece) @ CBC:
Small shortlasting head. Aroma is very strange, potato, old potato cellar, hay, herbs, peanut, rutabaga, caramel malts, grass. Taste is slightly sweet, caramel malts, peanut butter, potato, old potato cellar, hay, herbs, toffee, vanilla. Medium bitterness, slightly dry harsh mouthfeel. Meh!
