Springtime. But this time around you’ll know better than to be tricked as easily as last year.

You’ll tread cautiously, deaf to the crunchy grass beneath your feet, or any faraway giggle, numb to the warmth of the sun and blind to its shimmering golden rays. No harm will come to you this way.

Or so you think.

A steadily increasing buzzing emerges, unfamiliar, but enticing and almost mind-numbing, whispering a soft
melody promising rivers of milk and honey, a new mistress that will never let you out of her firm embrace.

You’ll never even feel the sting. But that’s what you wanted, right? You'll forever... Bee With Me.

Interesting, a honeyed imperial porter. Loads of honey in the taste and smell, the beer part adding some licorice to it, which is of course an excellent combination. Tasty, but a bit unbalanced unfortunately. The porter needs more.

FEB-2020. Batch #2. Darkest brown, small mocha head. Humble dark malts and roast barley, light notes of harsh alcohol and glue, toilet notes / horse manure - the aroma is nasty. Taste: moderate dark malt sugars, limited roasty notes, hot warming alcoholic spice. Not much complexity, but the simple low malt / moderate roast / high alcohol character does have some appeal. 3,75/5.

MAR-2019. Batch #1. Deep brown, beige head. Quite a bit of harsh alcohols upfront, light notes of sticky dark sugars behind that. As the fumes fade away, you get more dark sugars... and some fresh cut zucchini. The taste is strong and rather sweet. More towards dark sugars that chocolate or such. Still some Acetaldehydes, light herbal bitterness and some nice warming alcohol. The honey might be there, or might be not... but there's enough sugars in this beer without it. Overall, a decent, but far from stellar brew (especially considering the gravity), and does not hold up the the 'honey' promise. 3,5/5.

330ml can. Quasi black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Sweet-ish, chocolately, slightly roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of cocoa, roasted nuts, chocolate, some coffee, a touch of honey. Taste is sweet, chocolately dark malty, some hoppy bitterness, some roasty bitterness as counterpart, notes of coffee, cocoa, hints of roasted nut, minimally earthy, spicy, hardly sweet notes of honey. Full body, oily to viscous texture, slightly sticky palate.
