This hauntingly good brew in your hand is rife with dark complexities. Eleven malts were used to create deep flavors of coffee, chocolate, caramel, and molasses. A hint of bitterness and herbal character from carefully selected American hops help support the monolithic maltiness of Dark Apparition. A truly decadent brew that is intended to be poured into your favorite snifter and given time to warm up from its dark and cold resting place. Be aware when in the presence of Dark Apparition ’cause this ghost is a creeper.

Tap at Keg, thx Branko! Brownish body, off-white head. Coffee going towards peppers, roast, carob and maltiness in the aroma. Roasty taste, heavy raost, carob, light peppery coffee and alcohol. Was I a fan? Not entirely, not in the best of shapes.

Bottle from De Bierliefhebber. Aroma is powdery cocoa, milk chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, nuts, molasses, notes of dark fruits. Flavour is sweet with an above moderate roasty bitterness. Body is medium to full. Sweet with lots of powdery chocolate, nice Impie but I yearned for a little more depth and body from this one.

35,5 cl can @ Riga, BBE 03/2024 Aroma has sweet licorice and some ash. Also mild soy sauce. Flavour has salty licorice, candy notes, mild ash and smoky tones. Intense and sweet flavours all around. Kind of reminds me of Nøgne Ø Norwegian Wood.

Large rocky tan head on a near black still body. Coffee, malt & chocolate aroma. Medium to full bodied, creamy, soft & cloying. Liquorice, malt, demerara, chocolate & coffee tastes with a bitterly hopped finish. Banger.

Solid beer, definitely getting old. But still holding its own. The amsterdam treatment is hurting, but it’s still solid. BeerTemple ams
