It’s our base RIS, Idiota, sent to bourbon (Jack Daniels and Woodford) barrels for several months. Aging gave it oaky character, smoothened its roughness and added vanilla notes, so distinctive for bourbon.
It’s a beer for a longer sitting, yet treacherously drinkable. Caution is advised!

Thanks to rotaman14 for this bottle. Another very interesting BA Stout. Black, oily and opaque color and a small dark tan head. Nose is sweet, vanilla, dark chocolate, hints of cocoa. Taste follows the nose. As it gets warmer, there are flavors of caramel and faint dried apricots. Wooden,slightly dark coffee and bitter finish. Very silky mouthfeeling. Very low carbonation. Very nice!

330ml bottle. Jet black colour - no head; a ring of tan bubbles adhere to the bezel. Intense, condensed, roasty dark malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, liquorice, leather, burnt caramel, some coffee, some treacle, a touch of poppy-seed cake, minimally ashy overtones. Taste is sweet, roasty and caramel dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, caramel, dark caramel, burnt caramel, some coffee, poppy-seed cake, a spicy marmite touch, smoky interludes. Viscous texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, soft to flat carbonation. Rich and intense, quite caramel dominated.
