Bottle 0,33 ltr: Clear light brown coloured brew with an nicely dry bitter taste with hints of toasted malts, caramel and a slightly touch of lemon. So is this an German Brown Ale? Good the choose the name Költ instead of Alsch.

Bottle. Clear pale amber with a decent white/beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, grains and grass. Taste of caramel, nuts, malts and grains with a somewhat spicy and herbal finish. Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. Very süffig. I don’t really see the Kölsch connection as it just feels like a mild Altbier. But I like it anyway.

13-02-21 // 330ml bottle. Craftprotztastong. Thanks IK B. for the bottle. Clear chestnut. Well done crossover. Surprised. „Lighter“ Altbier. Good malt notes, light caramel, light nutty. Present but milder tham average Alt-bitter. Like. Good design/idea.

0.33 l bottle from 'EDEKA Preller', best before July 2020. Slightly hazy, deep amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty and moderately grassy-spicy aroma of caramel, straw and some grains. Moderately sweet, gently bitter, slightly malty, gently grassy-spicy taste of caramel, grains and some straw, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly grassy-spicy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Interesting idea but not more than the sum of its parts, I would rather go for a fresh and crispy Alt.
