0.44 l can from 't Biermenneke, best before February 2022. Black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish, rather fruity, slightly dank, a little roasty-malty aroma of passion fruit, pineapple, some blueberry and a touch of coffee. Gently sweet, minimally roasty, rather fruity taste of passion fruit, pineapple, mango, some dark chocolate and hints of coffee, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a bit roasty, minimally resiny finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Now even the BIPA's are New England style. It's quite tasty but I like traditonal ones better.

Huge, cream-beige head over virtually black beer. Dry hops, hopbales, husks, black cardamome, roast, roasted caramel. Dry but still some background sweetness, liquorice as in the pure wood. Bitter surrounding with resiny hops. Imagine a Chocotoff with 90% of the sugars removed. Blue grapes, with some warming. Feels pretty well-bodied, almost chewy. Good carbonation, and very long-lasting flavours. Quite good, strong black hoppy ale.
