A very special Xmas barleywine that will get better with age like a fine wine.
The beautifully balanced malts and classic English hops will continue to improve for many, many years to come.

Light haze on this orange amber beer patchy head, largeish cream colour bubbles. Palate is smooth and somewhat thin, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, unsurprisingly thin given the palate, a modest creamy sweetness. Bitterish orange peel, ripe too. Nibbly spice. Finishes light and semi dry and spicy. Fine but lacks any depth.

Bottle from my Hoptimism advent calendar. Hazy pale amber colour with a white head. Aroma is caramel and light fruity. Taste light sweet and herby. Full smooth body.
