Bose is lactose, hazelnut, milk chocolate, cram and vanilla - sounds nicer than it is. Taste is very muted, very light chocolate as the dominating tone, with a light raisin and nut leading to lactose with a slightly acidic cardboard finish which detracts. Mouthfeel is fine but too carbonated. Not particularly nice, I need to try it on cask.

Bottle sample at home from ocado. Dark brwon / reddy coloured pour with a fleeting cream head. Aroma is faint roast, malts, dark fruiits, raisin. Flavour is semi rich figs and raisin with a little sharpness. Nice roast roast and choc malts round it out. Palate is medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Almost opaque dark brown beer, few pale tan bubbles for a head. Light palate, semi dry. Very low carbonation. Mild dark malts, whispers of dark chocolate and dark fruits. Light dry finish. Almost flat and somewhat insipid.

500ml bottle shared with Finn. Rocky beige head, fine duration. Near clear dark brown with ruby highlights. Spotty lacework. Well roasted dark malty aroma. Blended flavours of brown and black malts added by a touch of prunes. Roasted ending. Medium to thin bodied. Smooth on the swallow. A nice mild, indeed (at Finns in Tromsø 27.05.2014).

Flaske 0,5l fra Kilpishalli. Delt med Rune under rateseanse på Nerstranda 27 Mai 14.Svart. Høyt luftig skum med litt farge. Litt lacing. God aroma av nøtter med innslag av bær. Smaken det samme men med tilføyelse av karamell. Svakt røstet ettersmak. Utmerket dessertøl.

A colablack, nicely poured beer with a medium and light brown head. The nose of dark malts, only slightly roasted, some sweetness. Taste is dryer than aroma, dry and roasted, some dark malts, coffee and herbs, hint of chocolate. Almost medium bodied, nice and smooth to drink. Simple but balanced, dry and roasted beer. Surprisingly good.
