[Senatsbockanstich 2021] Nose is roastes malts, acidic, dsrk chocolate, faint vanilla aromas. Taste starts malty sweet, followed by nice cocoa and peppery chilis. Very well balanced spicyness. Smooth. Rather bitter-spicy finish.

Fruity mild chocolate beginning. Hot chilis in the aftertaste, harmonising well with the dry chocolate body. Hints of caramel in the back, milk chocolate, round fruity with a slightly chocolate sweetish finish.

0,33 l bottle out of their mixed 6er. A darkest red brown in the glass. Small fast fading head. Malty bock on the nose. Tastes malty increasing chilli sharpness. Low carbonation. Better than expected. But due to the chilli not my kind of stuff tbh.

Bottle picked up from the Beyond Beer Webshop Hamburg consumed at home Saturday 27th February 2021 after a day spent gardening, listening to Protomartyr - Under Color of Official Right. Pours chestnut in colour with an off white head. This is a very good Doppelbock that is elevated above the ordinary by the addition of chilli and chocolate. Smooth, easy drinking, warming, in fact the chilli has a nice bite. Milk chocolate with a kick, great beer.

33cl bottle. A clear reddish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee, caramel. Taste of dark caramelized malt, chocolate, caramel mild chili. Good.

Wenig malziger Beginn, überraschend flach. Auch die Habaneros kommen zumindest zum Abgang gar nicht durch, somit nur etwas getredig, ohne greifbares Aroma. Etwas gemüsig im Mittelteil, die Chili kommt stärker durch, ich vermisse weiterhin das Malz. Mittellanger Abgang mit zunehmender Schärfe, die aber auch hier moderat ausfällt. 10/6/9/10/12/9
