Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark brown, almost black. Roasty malty aroma. Starts intense malty, roasty, alcoholic. Some caramel hints, some chocolate, bitter notes in the background. Finish alcoholic malty. Okay.

0,33 l bottle out of the mixed 7er. A darkest brown in the glass, reddssih edges, one finger foamy beige head. Looks good. Intensive fruity and wine barrel on the nose. Taste starts also with wine barrel, cherry, malty background, little bit toasted. Slick texture. Boozy nuances. Creamy choco in the aftertaste with some bitter hop.

Bottle picked up from Craft Beer webshop, Parchim, Germany and had this at home Saturday 28th January 2023, drinking along with the live Senatsbock tasting again, we had a Chicken Tikka Masala Curry with homemade Onion Bhajis and homemade Garlic and Chilli Nan breads and Raita. Pours dark brown, a little murky, a small to mid sized light beige head. There is some chocolate but there is also a cola flavour here. I wanted to like this beer more because the brewer seemed super nice. Perhaps a little cherry in the background, but all told for the abv it feels a tad watery. 3.3

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark, chestnut colour with average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Sweet-ish, dark malty, minimally smoky aroma, notes of malt lozenge, some dark caramel, chocolate, whiffs of smoked ham, very light, fruity overtones with aspects of plum and morello. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally woody and fruity, dark malty, hints of plum and morello, bacon wrapped plum, some dark caramel, malt lozenge, chocolate, a light smoky touch as well. Minimally creamy, watery texture, soft and slightly dry palate, soft, creamy carbonation. Fairly rich and complex, balanced - not bad.

Buddel: Deep amber coloured with a reddish sheen, presumably not clear, stable yellowish creamy head, moderate sweet-bitter - relatively dry - aroma of toasted malt with delicate nutty and chocolatey traces, herbal hops from far behind; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, nearly full bodied, pretty soft; drier roasty/toasty finish with a herbal hoppy aftertaste. Chapeau! A well balanced, easy drinking Doppelbock...

Bottle drunk in Finkenberg. Dark brown. Very roasted malty and nutty nose. Flavor follows through, very nice balanced Bock that isn't too sweet and has a very good earthy bitterness tone. Great caramel notes. Across between Bock and impy stout, awesome.
