Reviewed from notes.
Can to lager glass.
Appearance: semi-clear amber color with a two and a half fingers of eggshell white foamy head which trailed off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet grains, toasted caramel malts, subsiding earthiness, breadiness
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine malty sweet vibe with earthy accents; finishes malty and earthy
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, clean smoothness; touch of non-offensive earthy dryness
Overall: pretty nicely done amber lager worthy of returning to.

16 ounce can from The Foodery in Chestnut Hill, PA. This is the number one rated beer for this style on RateBeer! Slightly hazed amber red color. Large, rocky beige head leaves spotty lacing. Mild, toasted malt aroma. Flavor upfront is slightly tannic with notes of toasted malt, caramel, brewed tea and buttery Saaz hops. A bit dry and spicy in the lingering finish. Simply outstanding!

Pours reddish amber with a thin head that disappears quickly. Aroma of toasted grains, sunflower seeds. Taste has pleasant grainy note, some caramel, the Saaz definitely come through, some bread elements. Palate has more toasted grain, nutty nose note, lingering yeasty. Very very good.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of caramel, citrus, bread, grain. Pours mostly clear copper with a one+ finger beige-white head with excellent retention. Taste has a bready, caramelly sweetness backed by moderate bitterness. Quality--very tasty for an amber lager.

Deep copper-red body, medium cream head. Aroma bready and nutty with toasted cereal and modest sweetness. Body initially has a sharp bite, with cocoa, caramel, nutty cereals, and a touch of fig. Softens after a few sips. Wholesome but not heavy.
