Bottle. Bee, Darnall. Hazed gold (didn’t tip the trub in and didn’t do a bottle roll). Half decent white foam. Usual suspects on the nose. Wheat and ripe banana. Some herb. Dry overall bar a touch of sweetness. Drinks fine. Light dry close. Actually way better than I was expecting.

Bottle at home from the Polish supermarket in St Evenage after a seriously long day of work in the garden. Good pour and just avoided the sediment. Rich texture but an oddly sweet taste in the mouth. Quite refreshing but not for me.

Bottle from Mleczko, Reading. Lightly hazed dull yellow with a white head. Ugh, this is repulsive - stale lager, mildew, and a slimy mouthfeel. There's hints of wheat milkshake and strawberry opal fruit sweets in the background, but the gone off taste made me feel physically ill. Checked the BBE date and it's months within date. Don't know if there was something wrong with this particular bottle, but you have to rate them as you find them and this was one of my least pleasant beer experiences ever. Still, on the plus side at least it was a new region.

9 October 2021. At Jabeerwocky, Poznan. Cheers to the lovely Anke!

Clear golden, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of pepper, clove, banana peel, wheat, dough. Taste has sweetish banana & apple, vague citrus, quite some spicy clove & nutmeg over bready maltiness. Peppery hoppy finish, lingering yellow fruit & wheat. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Quite spicy but still lacking in character.

Bottle gifted from @BlackHaddock. Pours a golden yellow with a small transient white head. [ Clear at the moment but warning on the label about yeast leads me to suspect it will be getting cloudier later on ]. Malts and grains in the aroma, with traces of weetabix.. Has a distinctly chewy texture in the mouth. Flavours are sweet and yeasty with banana and a hint of cherries. Finish is sweet and slightly spicy. Agree this may be a wheat ale, as the label talks about top-fermenting. Anyway, a bit weird but quite nice and refreshing.
