Two of the longest-lived drinks in the world, fused by two of London’s revolutionaries.

Working alongside mead-masters Gosnells, we harmonized 2018 vintage Dabinett with a blend of British honey based mead. This bittersweet mash-up is a journey into the fruits of the orchard and of the hive. A late dry hop brings lush aroma, opening up to a palate of baked apple and honey sweetness, with a lash of moreish tannins at the finish.

This is cider meets mead, a bond between makers.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma of apples and honey, very sweet. Taste is not dissimilar with some of the honey coming through. Easy to drink but not amazing.

Panda at home, thanks to Fergus, 07/03/23. Almost clear golden with an off white covering that thins to a swirl. Nose is apple pulp, caramel, light sugars, grains, perfume. Taste comprises toffee apple, dusty hops, stewed apple, tannins. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Decent drop.

Sample thanks to Grumbo. Pours a misty golden yellow, quite lively with a large white head receding quickly. Sweet nose with prominent dabinett, some mild honey. Taste is crisp with good dabinett definition, mead takes a backseat though some mild honey hints are present. Decent.

9/3/2022. Can courtesy of Danlo, cheers Ed! Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is funky, apple, herbal, honey, slightly twiggy/floral. Medium sweetness, light tartness. Moderate body, oily, average carbonation. Quite enjoyed this.

Can at home. Slightly hazy pour with only a little head. Aromas of (over)ripe fruit. Taste not too sweet. Very little honey flavours or aromas. Overall pleasant, but not mindblowing.

Can at home picked up from Brewdog online. A hazed peachy orange coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is odd, mealy apple, earthy berries, peach Danish, little stale. Flavour is composed of semi sweet mealy apple, some earthy honey, vanish, pancake batter.. Palate is semi sweet, light tart, mellow carbonation.. Little odd.
